The Changing Face of My Library
Not quite sure when it started to happen, when the titles of the books changed in front of me, on my bookshelves. When they went from mostly textiles books with a spattering of art books on concepts and practical matters to now having Art in America sitting next to Praxis study guides and AP art history books. Surface design books have disappeared from the rows to be replaced with classroom management books such as Looking into the Classroom and School Law. Books on rhetoric taking over more and more of this shelf space: something I thought I'd never understood or made me fall to sleep is now lining the space above my head this including more and more books of poems.
